New renderings offer a look at what’s to come for Royal Caribbean’s new terminal at the Port of Galveston, which is scheduled to open by late 2022.
Once completed, the $125 million terminal will span 170,000 square feet and be home to Royal Caribbean’s largest ships, the “Oasis” class of vessels. The first ship to set sail out of the new terminal will be the “Allure of the Seas,” which will make its Texas debut in the winter of 2022-2023 with 7-night Western Caribbean cruises to destinations including Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Roatan, Honduras, according to a release.

Royal Caribbean will lease the 10 acres of land for the new terminal at Pier 10 for 20 years, with the option of extending for another 10 years, up to four times, the Houston Chronicle previously reported. The port has two other terminals, one used by Carnival Cruise Line and another shared by Carnival, Disney and Royal Caribbean.
New renderings show the terminal will boast a modern, sleek design with pops of bright colors throughout. See the photos above for an inside look at the Island’s newest terminal, slated for the fall of 2022.
